Why sunrise, why private

We start between 6:30 and 8:30, depending on the season and the sunrise. Because the tour is private, you choose the time that suits your group. You get the empty plazas and the early light, and you are back before the tour buses arrive.

Private means your group only. One guide, your pace, no strangers, no flag to follow. Your guide carries the local stories and takes your photos along the way.

Who runs your tour

Jeremy, an Uncrowds guide in Paris Jeremy Your guide
I wish I could have had Jeremy walking around with me the entire time I was in Paris. He was so knowledgeable and shared so much about the sites and Parisian life, with great pop-culture references alongside the history. Personable, easy to chat with, and full of recommendations after the tour. My highest recommendation for a guide in Paris.

Herbert, an Uncrowds guide in Paris Herbert Your guide
Herbert provided a brilliant experience, he is extremely knowledgeable about all things French and specifically Parisian. His quirky sense of humour makes his commentary and observations highly entertaining as well as informative. Bikes were perfect for the tour, comfortable and easy to handle. Overall organisation and communication around booking and meeting arrangements very good, quick and easy. Capturing the key sites before the crowds was invaluable and set the stage for the itinerary for our Paris experience with tips and recommendations that enhanced our whole experience enormously. My family and I had a great experience and would highly recommend this tour.

We had a fantastic sunrise bike tour. Unique, up-close views of the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre without the crowds, and a lovely time biking along the Seine. Kind, knowledgeable, and truly went above and beyond.

What an outstanding way to see places without throngs of people. An excellent guide, and I learned many new things at every stop. Espresso and croissant after the tour was superb.

Questions, answered

The last few things guests ask before they book.

What makes a private tour different from a group tour?

Private tours are for your group only, with a personal guide, flexible start times, and the option of hotel pickup. You see the landmarks without other tourists around.

Can I choose my start time?

Yes. Tours run between 6:30 and 8:30 depending on the season, and because they are private you choose the time that suits your group.

Bike or walking, which should I choose?

The bike covers more ground, the Eiffel Tower through to Notre-Dame and Les Invalides, and suits active travelers. The walk is a calmer route through the center ending with breakfast, and suits families or anyone who would rather not cycle.

How many people can join?

Up to six. For larger groups we still run it privately, just reach out.

Are the tours suitable for children?

Yes. Walking and Montmartre from age 6, biking from age 13.

Can I customise the itinerary?

Yes. Share your must-see spots and we arrange the route around them where we can.

Do you offer hotel pickup?

Yes, as a paid extra within Paris. Your guide meets you and transfers with you to the start point.

Will my guide take photos?

Yes. Your guide takes photos of your group at the empty landmarks along the way.

What if the weather is bad?

Tours run rain or shine, and we adapt the route. In extreme weather, for the group's safety we may cancel with a full refund.

What is your cancellation policy?

Free cancellation up to 48 hours before. Between 24 and 48 hours, 50 percent. Under 24 hours, non-refundable.

How far in advance should I book?

Up to 24 hours before, though we recommend two weeks ahead in peak season.
